Every single item of my furniture is a family hand-me down. Most of the furniture is from the 60's, and while it looks wonderful and anthropologie-esque...it proves to be a challenge to modern-ize them.
I have one of these chairs in my bedroom which is badly in need of pillow covers:
Any ideas for good colors that might look classic?
Definitely doesn't look as fabulous, and I'm too busy to spend hours sewing covers. It'll be a fun project once I get back to College Station!
Another inspiration:
I have a window exactly like this in College Station in need of re-vamping, and this is a great idea!
The back is covered with old wallpaper. [http://www.craftynest.com/2009/06/salvaged-window-wallpaper-frames/]
I might have an obsession with black & white pictures (not as much as I love J. Crew though), and I think matted gallery frames would look perfect with them.
...And I also need a bed. That's important.
I want this one from Ikea, but I don't think it will fit in my car! haha, oops! That, and I probably don't want to shell out $150 for a bed. That can wait. :)
One of my favorite blogs right now is Bower Power[http://bowerpowerblog.com/?page_id=316]. They have a precious home in Atlanta and are living the dream! Plus tons of fun ideas, like how to arrange flowers...for example:
Two things that make you feel luxurious that are inexpensive: fresh flowers and valet parking.
I love these two ideas:
My mom always used this ^ idea as a centerpiece but put limes and lemons in during the summertime. :)
Just some thoughts!
I will be here in just a couple days, and I'm in denial! I have no clothes to wear in 50 degree weather! This may call for a shopping trip for some booties...or maybe I'll just have to buy a tan motorcycle jacket.
Don't be surprised if you see a picture with me in a killer windsuit and a big sign that says "I ♥ JOHN STAMOS!"
have a great week!
"because Your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify You.
i will praise You as long as I live,
and in your name I will lift up my hands.
my soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods;
with singing lips my mouth will praise you."
